Santa Claus (1985)

The first half of this film, set hundreds of years ago, shows how the
old man who eventually became Santa Claus was given immortality
and chosen to deliver toys to all the children of the world. The second
half moves into the modern era, in which Patch, the head elf, strikes
out on his own and falls in with an evil toy manufacturer who wants to
corner the market and eliminate Santa Claus.

This movie is about Nancy Drew going to Los Angeles California with her father, who was going there on business. While she was there she happened upon a mystery that involved a murdered movie actress, and her daughter. Nancy found out her her daughter was, when nobody even knew that the actress had any kids, and the actress's daughter inherited all of the actress's money. At the end of the movie, once they got back home, Ned and Nancy kissed for what I think was their first actual kiss, and right after their quick kiss Nancy's father told her that she had a call from some people in Germany, who were talking about the Loch Ness Monster.

Outpost (2007)

A wealthy businessman hires a crack team of seasoned soldiers to accompany him on a perilous journey into no man's land, only to come face to face with an otherworldly enemy more vicious and powerful than any mortal foe. It was supposed to be an easy, forty-eight hour mission: Move in, scope out an abandoned military bunker, and move out. Once in the bunker, however, the fearless mercenaries begin to quake in their boots after happening across the remnants of some gruesome World War II experiments carried out by Nazi soldiers on their own men. Sifting through the carnage, the men are horrified to discover that one of the unfortunate test subjects is still clinging to life. Now, as bombs continue to burst above ground, a malevolent force emerges from the darkness below. Suddenly left with nowhere to run, the soldiers quickly realize that what appeared to be a by-the-books bodyguard mission has suddenly devolved into a bloody battle for survival. Why has their secretive host really brought them to this God-forsaken outpost, and is there any way of stopping the murderous force that hunts them from the dense shadows underground?

Nick Naylor, chief spokesman for Big Tobacco, makes his living defending the rights of smokers and cigarette makers in today's neo-puritanical culture. Confronted by health zealots out to ban tobacco and an opportunistic senator who wants to put poison labels on cigarette packs, Nick goes on a PR offensive, spinning away the dangers of cigarettes on TV talk shows and enlisting a Hollywood super-agent to promote smoking in movies. Nick's newfound notoriety attracts the attention of both tobacco's head honcho and an investigative reporter for an influential Washington daily. Nick says he is just doing what it takes to pay the mortgage, but the increased scrutiny of his son and a very real death threat may force him to think differently.
